Rosé Sauce with Lasagna Noodles and Ground Pork

Remember when I told you how, as a kid, I’d wait for the lasagna noodles to be ready so I could dip them into the sauce before my mom made the lasagna? When making my rose lasagna, I did it all over again and just knew I had to create a pasta dish with this in mind.

I took my filling for my rose lasagna and turned it into a pasta sauce. I love how the lasagna noodles soak up the sauce.

Recipe can be found below. Enjoy!

Ingredients

-1 box of lasagna noodles, broken in thirds
-Package of ground pork (approximately 5 sausages or casings)
-1 onion, diced
-5 garlic cloves, minced
-28 ounces of crushed tomatoes
-1/2 cup of heavy cream
-2 tablespoons of butter
-Seasoned with salt, pepper, & oregano

Directions

Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large pot. Add garlic and onions and cook until fragrant. Brown the pork, mashing the pork into small pieces. Season with salt, pepper and oregano seasoning. Add crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Simmer on low for approximately 30-45 minutes. Mix in heavy cream, butter and seasoning as needed.

Once pasta is al dente, add directly to pot and allow to finish cooking. Serve & enjoy!
